Utah United
Meet Eva Weldon
Mother. Educator. Artist. Naturalist. Community Advocate.
Eva Weldon has called Rockville home for 30 years, building a life rooted in family, education, creativity, community service, and the remarkable landscape of Southern Utah.
A Lifetime of Education & Community
• More than 20 years working in schools
• Three years serving as a school board member
• Bachelor’s degree in art
• Taught creative classes for children
• Supported community arts and cultural projects
• Organized events for music and arts festivals
• Board member, Zion Canyon Art Festival
Eva believes strong communities begin with strong public schools, supported educators, opportunities for children, and neighbors willing to participate.
Rooted in Southern Utah
For two decades, Eva has worked as a naturalist and guide in Zion Canyon—and continues that work today. Her studies in the natural sciences and years spent interpreting this landscape have given her a firsthand understanding of Southern Utah’s environment and the importance of protecting it for future generations.
For Eva, environmental stewardship isn't an abstract political issue. It's about the water we depend on, the air we breathe, the landscapes that support our economy, and the place her family calls home.
Why She's Running
Eva is running for Utah House District 72 because she believes representation should begin with listening.
Her priorities have grown directly from her life and work:
• Strong public schools
• Support for teachers and students
• Fair wages and greater affordability
• Responsible water use
• Clean air and environmental stewardship
• Thoughtful, sustainable growth
• Honest and accountable government
• Dignity, respect, and opportunity for every neighbor
• People before party
Eva believes good ideas don't belong to one political party. She wants to represent everyone in District 72—including people who may not vote for her—and approach decisions by asking what will strengthen Southern Utah's communities today while protecting their future.
